Near the end of 2009, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart about the year 2010. He said "it is time to possess the land."
This was confirmed a few days later by a minister I respect greatly, Rev. Randall Grier, who stated in his e-newsletter of
12/22/2009: "The Lord spoke to me this morning (12/22/09) and said that 2010 is the year of obedience to His Word
and Spirit. The Lord told Joshua that it was time to possess the land that He had given to them.
2010 is your year to
possess your land."

What does that mean exactly? How does it apply to your life? What is your promised land?

Time to Possess the Land

Joshua 1:1-3 ( NKJV ) After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua
the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying:  “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you
and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Every place that the sole of your foot will
tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses.

God was telling Joshua “NOW is the time to possess the Land”. He wants to bring US in to our promised land.

It is not a literal geographic place, but a “land of His promises being fulfilled in our lives. A place of prosperity, blessing
and fruitfulness, that we might glorify Him.” What has He promised you? What has He spoken to your heart? It is time, in
2010, to possess it, for it to become a reality in your life.

You may have attempted and failed in the past to possess your promised land. Or maybe the timing wasn't right.
Sometimes God will show us things He has planned for us in our future, and we mistakenly think it will happen overnight.

Here is an interesting thing that happened to the children of Israel, as they were about to go into their promised land.

God commanded Joshua to circumcise the sons of Israel just before they went into the promised land. Circumcision was
a SIGN of the Covenant.

Joshua 5:5 ( NKJV )
For all the people who came out had been circumcised, but all the people born in the wilderness,
on the way as they came out of Egypt, had not been circumcised.

After they were circumcised, the God said this:

Joshua 5:9 ( NKJV ) Then the LORD said to Joshua, “This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.”
Therefore the name of the place is called Gilgal to this day.

TODAY God wants to roll away any sense of failure, condemnation, disobedience or reproach. Get ready to enter in to
the promised land!
