The Most Important Question in Life: Will You Go to Heaven When You Die?
|
You Can Have Eternal Life!
Jesus said in John 10:10 "…I have come that they (that
means all of us, including you!) may have life, and have
it more abundantly."
The Bible says in Romans 3:23 that "…all have sinned
and come short of the glory of God." Our sins have
separated us from God, the Bible calls that condition
"spiritual death", "For the wages of sin is death…"
Romans 6:23
Because of His great love for us, God provided a
solution to our condition of spiritual death and
separation from Him; "For the wages of sin is death, but
the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our
Lord." Romans 6:23
Eternal life was made available to us when Jesus Christ
bore our sins and died on the Cross. His blood paid the
penalty for our sins, and on the third day He arose
victorious!
You can receive this eternal life right now, simply by
calling on Jesus Christ to save you:
"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and
believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the
dead you will be saved" Romans 10:9
"For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be
saved" Romans 10:13
Pray This Prayer Now to Receive
Christ into Your Life:
"Dear God, I come to You in the name of Your Son
Jesus. I believe that You raised Him from the dead. I
confess that Jesus Christ is my Lord. I turn from sin,
and I receive Your life right now. Lord Jesus, come
into my heart, take away my sin, and be the Lord of
my life today. Thank You for saving me!"
If you prayed that prayer in simple faith, Jesus Christ
has become your Lord and Savior! You have eternal life.
You are no longer separated from God, but are now His
child. (See John 1:12)

"Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?"
This was the question the Apostle Paul asked the
disciples he met in the city of Ephesus. It is a
question that you can have settled in your own life as
well.
When a person receives Christ, the Holy Spirit comes
to dwell their heart. But there is a subsequent work
of the Spirit in the life of the believer.
Jesus told his followers, just before He ascended into
heaven after His resurrection, in Acts 1:8 NKJV
"But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit
has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to
Me..."
Just prior to that, He had told them, in Acts 1:5 NKJV
"for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be
baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from
now."
On the Day of Pentecost, we see that the disciples of
Jesus received this powerful experience, that
transformed them from fearful, timid believers, to
those who powerfully and boldly proclaimed the Good
News of Christ's death and resurrection: Acts 2:1,4
Now when the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they
were all with one accord in one place...And they were
all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak
with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
Peter boldly preached the Gospel that day to the
crowd that had gathered in Jerusalem, he ended his
message with these words, that are true for us
today: Acts 2:38-39 Then Peter said to them,
"Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the
name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and
you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For
the promise is to you and to your children, and to all
who are afar off,..." NKJV
